Weissenberge: Unspoiled - Unplugged - Unforgettable
The small village of Weissenberge ("white mountains") is nestled on a secluded mountain terrace, 4000 feet above sea level, in the heart of Switzerland. Our mountain resort Edelwyss is your exclusive little hideaway. Situated on the most beautiful place on earth, the family operated house offers only 3 double rooms with sweeping views to the steep valleys and snow-topped mountains. Hiking trails for your own explorations are at your doorstep. Enjoy the walks along the mountains in a paradise of wild flowers, with the faint melody of cowbells ringing from far away.
Weissenberge prides itself with having a remote location and peaceful, romantic ambiance. Your Weissenberge accommodations do not include televisions, stereos, or phones, so there is nothing to distract you from enjoying the peace and silence, the leisurely mornings, stunning weather changes, and one another.
You would not believe it - Weissenberge is as close to Zurich and the airport as it can be: A mere hour and a half. (Davos is 3 hrs, St. Moritz 4.5 hrs, Zermatt 5 hrs).
We recommend to stay at least 3 days, or better for a week, to get in real touch with mother nature.
You will be surprised about the fair rates.

Weissenberge truly means "white mountains", but do not worry about some other strange translations that Google may give from our homepage... We are not that strange.
Summer: The season is from May thru October. There are more flowers early in the season, and warmer weather in August and September.
Bring good hiking boots and never leave without a small rucksack with warm clothes and a windjack.
Winter: Season is from mid December to end of March, best from Christmas to the end of February.
You need snow boots and warm clothes.
Snowshoeing gear and slides are for rent at the cablecar. We are sure that you will enjoy our local wintersport opportunities, even if you never tried before.
We suggest to buy a local map before you leave home. Try one of these links:

From the airport, drive to Zurich and follow the green signs "A3 Chur". Leave A3 at the exit Glarus. Do not miss to take a left when approaching Schwanden. Park your car in Matt beneath the cablecar that will bring you to the Weissenberge.
